Our Peggy was born just before midnight on 24 December, 2016, the first of her litter born and the only one born Christmas Eve. She is still our Christmas baby though, and only gets one present… Ripped Off!
6 Weeks
We met Peggy at age 6 weeks. It was stinking hot up at Helensvale on the Gold Coast, just the way that Peggy likes it. The bundles of fluffy Ridgie joy were tumbling all over one another.
At this stage we thought we were just visitors, but at the end of the day Wendy told us that some of the pups were still available, and maybe we might like to make one ours.
7 Weeks
A week later we were back to get to know these bundles of wrinkles a bit better. Peggy was such as sweetheart that we just had to pick her, even though she was “the runt” and didn’t meet “standard”. She is perfect!
A couple of weeks later, we went to visit our Peggy Sue again, and Wendy suprised us by saying “No, she can go home with you today if you like”… Apparently “Mum” was totally sick of the pups and just wanted to have some peace and quiet, so Peggy popped in the van and had her first Interstate trip to Ballina.
